Rotorua MP Todd McClay will host a delegation of Latin American Ambassadors in the electorate on Wednesday 27 October.  The Ambassadors of Argentina, Cuba, and Mexico have a range of business and tourism meetings lined up for the day’s tour of Rotorua.

“The Rotorua economy is thriving.  Business and tourism are booming.  This is an excellent opportunity to showcase what Rotorua has to offer to the rest of the world.

“More than fifty local businesses will meet the Ambassadors to discuss how we can partner to create job opportunities for the Rotorua community,” says Mr McClay.

The visit is part of a programme that the Rotorua MP has put together by working with the tourism and business sector.

“Earlier this month, I hosted a visit by the British High Commissioner.  Next month, I will host a delegation of diplomatic representatives from the fast-growing ASEAN region. They will also explore opportunities for doing business.

“There is a lot of interest from the rest of the world in what Rotorua is doing, and Rotorua is hungry to build on its potential,” says Mr McClay.
